Dear Special Olympics Supporter,

A great weekend for one very special cause!

Although I participate in several golf outings each summer Boothbay's annual tournament and sports auction is by far my favorite, and continues to be a highlight of my summer. Bottom line, it is a class act which does the entire region proud..

For an area as relatively small as it is, it is amazing how many 'major league' athletes the outing attracts year after year. Working as the auctioneer, I can hardly believe the amount of spectacular sports memorabilia we have to sell. All a tribute to the outstanding work to the volunteers that make this outing happen.

As a news reporter for WMTW-TV, in Portland, I have had several opportunities to cover Special Olympics games. To witness these athletes competing, to see their smiles, makes it easy to understand exactly what the golf outing and auction are really all about. It is exciting to see the money we raise actually put to work.

I hope that you too, will be come a a part of this great weekend. You can't beat the cause.

Dear Special Olympics Staff,

Thank you for giving our company the opportunity to sponsor your annual golf tournament at Boothbay Country Club.

Throughout the year, we support more than 15 charitable organizations that put o golf tournaments- this one by far is our most enjoyable. The staff has treated us like kings and we have enjoyed every part of the festivities- from greeting some wonderful celebrities to bidding on incredible auction items, to visiting a spectacular scenic area of Maine.

I will continue with my support of this tournament and will pass the word along to hopefully gather more support for this extraordinary event.

Many Thanks,

Brendan Hickey

To Whom It May Concern:

During the 2014-2015 season, the Portland Pirates have increased our focus on bettering our community and getting involved with great causes here in the state of Maine. A highlight of our community efforts this year was being able to attend the Boothbay Charities Classic. Through a donation from the Portland Pirates Foundation, we are proud to say that we are helping Special Olympics Maine all of of it's participants.

To Whom It May Concern:

This letter is written in support of the Boothbay area's golf outing for Special Olympics of Maine.

Their annual event, which we have been involved in over the past nine years, is one of the best run events of its kind in the state. All of the details are attended to with a passion exceeded by none other. As a sponsor, we have been treated first class all the way. Every year the event has grown to encompass more people and bigger names, yet we still receive the same first class treatment.

As a sponsor, this is the kind of event that would make you feel good about your money being well spent. There is no doubt Special Olympics of Maine is a deserving cause and it is great to be a part of a well-run fundraiser.
