"I have been involved for 19 of the 25 years on different levels & have come to a place where my involvement is also Volunteering at both the Maine Summer & Winters Special Olympics. Love these Athletes, it makes me want to work harder. They enrich my life. Thanks to the Boothbay Charities Classic we help to enrich their lives."

Star Wars (TM) and The Portland Pirates

The Portland Pirates hosted the Providence Bruins Saturday, December 12th at 7:00 pm. In honor of the next chapter of the much loved  Star Wars franchise released in December, the Pirates honored original jerseys that sport a Stormtrooper design from the much-loved movie. During the evening, there were family-friendly events, 50/50 raffles, and even an action at the end of the evening to have the Star Wars Jerseys go to the highest bidder. That evening, all proceeds on these events were donated to the Special Olympics Maine.

Boothbay Charities Classic is made up strictly of volunteers that work year-round to create an annual fun-filled weekend event. Traditionally known for the Annual BCC Golf Tournament, the BCC has begun a new adventure and tradition. 2021 will begin the 1st Annual Boothbay Charities Cornhole Tournament and will celebrate the BCC's  30th year. The BCC continues in their 30th year to work at their dedicated goal to support, raise funds, and bring awareness of the importance of Special Olympics of Maine.
